YEAR IN REVIEW
Welcome to the 2019-2020 edition of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association Directory of Members – an annual
publication featuring our valued cabinet manufacturers and suppliers to the industry.
With 25 years in the cabinet industry, it is an honor for me to serve KCMA as the current President. KCMA was founded in
1955 with a purpose of promoting the growth of the cabinet industry, to provide consumers with a consistent and universal
level of quality, and help build a catalytic environment for leaders in our industry. The relationships that members have formed
through this Association help to inform and provide community for industry leaders. This network of relationships positions the
Association and the cabinet industry on a firm foundation, positively affecting our employees, suppliers and consumers. I am also
grateful to be working with the KCMA staff. Betsy, along with a wonderful team in Chuck, Karen and Lisa, provide meaningful
support to the cabinet industry through the Association and bring passion to the issues that impact this wonderful industry.
Stephen Wellborn, KCMA’s Immediate Past President, was an outstanding leader for KCMA – the Wellborn family have been
influencers in this industry for decades, and we appreciate Stephen’s leadership over the last year. He led our association through
a challenging year and remains a strong figure for KCMA.
This has been an inspiring year for KCMA, full of challenges and change. For this coming fiscal year, 2020, KCMA will continue
to enhance the value proposition for our members with focus on the KCMA marketing mission reflecting the three-part effort to
promote the brand, retain members, and acquire new members. We will continue to improve our ability to promote the ANSI and
ESP certification programs to ensure quality to the dealer and homeowner/consumer. KCMA will continue to develop features and
benefits that members and their companies will value. Among them, we will focus on newer initiatives such as the Small Business
Cabinet Council and the Skills Gap/Labor Shortage Program to better equip our members on specific issues that are relevant to
them. A key deliverable over the last few years, KCMA will continue to be a great source of information related to how legislation
and regulation affect our industry members.
A key focus for the industry this year has come in understanding and managing the threat posed by foreign cabinet production.
As an organization, KCMA will continue to closely monitor the activities of the American Kitchen Cabinet Alliance given the
impact that the anti-dumping/countervailing duties case could have upon the industry.
On behalf of the KCMA leadership, I am pleased to present the 2019-2020 Membership Directory. Your guide to each and
every member of KCMA. Here’s to another successful year for the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association and for the

Dear Members,
It has been a year of building and growth for the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association, and we are proud of our
accomplishments and ongoing commitment to our members and the industry.
We have spent this past year focusing on increasing the membership and participation in our association and certification programs,
and working closely with you, our valued members, to bring you materials and information that you find relevant and helpful to the
success of your business and the cabinet manufacturing industry as a whole. We continued our efforts on Capitol Hill, advocating
for the protection and continued growth and success of the cabinet manufacturing industry.
We have worked hard with our marketing agency on our communication and program efforts, and have seen success. Our KCMA
Insights Blog continually delivers relevant industry information to the general public, so that even those who are not members
of KCMA are informed and prepared with best practices for their business. Our newly redesigned newsletter continues to bring
up-to-date important information to our members so that you can be at the forefront of the industry. We also have continued our
targeted email communications in an ongoing effort to boost participation and knowledge about all of the valuable programs and
services KCMA offers to our members.
We have recently finished a re-focusing of our ESP Certification Program. This new messaging brings the Environmental
Stewardship Program into the relevant conversations happening today regarding green products and companies, healthy homes and
environmentally responsible and sustainable products and processes. Our goal is to increase the visibility of this great program, and
ensure that consumers and builders know that the best environmentally friendly certification to look for is the KCMA ESP Seal.
We continue to boost our social media profile on all our channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Houzz and
YouTube. We encourage you to connect with us on all of these channels so you can continue to receive the latest information in
best practices and industry updates.
None of these efforts would have been possible without a committed staff, dedicated committee members, Board of Directors, and

2019-2020 KCMA MEMBERS
The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association was founded in 1955 as the National Institute of Wood Kitchen Cabinets
at a time when the future of factory-built wood cabinets faced a stiff challenge from an expanding steel cabinet market.
The association changed its name to the National Kitchen Cabinet Association in 1961 to respond to trends and diversity
in the use of materials for cabinet construction. In the spring of 1990, association members overwhelmingly voted to
change the association’s name again to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association to more clearly reflect the nature
of the association, its purpose, members and services.
Today, with more than 300 members representing 80% of the industry in sales, KCMA is the largest national trade
association that exclusively represents cabinet manufacturers and suppliers to the industry.
KCMA establishes and promotes standards for the kitchen cabinet industry; defends and advocates in support of the
industry; and arms our members with valuable tools necessary to promote and grow their businesses.

The ANSI/KCMA A161.1 Quality Certification Program has been in operation since
1965 when KCMA developed and adopted the first national set of construction
and performance standards for kitchen and vanity cabinets. The ANSI/KCMA
A161.1 Certification Program is administered by a Director of Certification under
the direction of the KCMA Standards and Certification Committee.
This program of voluntary self-regulation has made the KCMA Certified Seal a
nationally recognized and respected symbol that assures the high quality, durability
and consistent performance of the cabinets bearing it. The right to display this seal
must be earned in the testing laboratory by proving compliance with the American
National Standard Institute ANSI/KCMA A161.1-2017 standards. Manufacturers
whose products pass the tests are licensed by KCMA to use the KCMA
Certification Seal and to indicate that their cabinets meet or exceed the standards.
Currently, more than 130 companies participate in the program.
KCMA certification requires rigorous, multiple tests administered by qualified
and experienced independent laboratories. To meet the KCMA standards, the
cabinets must meet general construction requirements, pass five structural tests, door operation tests, drawer tests and
five finish tests. In addition, KCMA monitors compliance with ANSI/KCMA A161.1-2017 by conducting annual in-plant
selection and testing of certified cabinets. KCMA responds to complaints on cabinets displaying the seal and works to
ensure adequate quality control.
Cabinet manufacturers do not have to be a member of the KCMA to have their cabinets tested and certified.

The KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) encourages industry
policies and practices that benefit the environment and the wellbeing of
society. The program provides a tangible way for cabinet manufacturers to
show their commitment to sound environmental practices. Over 120 plants
and brands (listed on the KCMA website, www.kcma.org and recognized in
the pages of this Directory) meet the requirements for ESP certification.
Participants in the KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program recycled more
than 16.4 million pounds of paper/cardboard that equates to 140,000 trees in
2017 alone.
ESP goes beyond other environmental programs by taking a holistic approach to
certification, holding the industry to higher standards and requiring third-party
verification for many of its criteria. After meeting the certification requirements
in areas such as air quality, resource management and environmental
stewardship, companies are awarded the ESP seal to display on their products.
The ESP program is administered by the KCMA Director of Certification under
the direction of the KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program Committee. The Committee reviews the criteria for
certification every year to ensure that ESP maintains its credibility by keeping up with the latest technology, changes in
industry standards and new federal/state regulations.
The KCMA 06-16 ESP certification requirements are based on currently obtainable materials and practices. The
requirements are reviewed every year and will be amended as new, improved materials become available. The
specifications have been revised five times since the program’s inception in 2006. The standard will be revised again by
the end of the 2019 calendar year.
Since March 2009, the ESP program has been audited and has earned favorable reviews from 3rd party accredited
organizations. The ESP program has earned further credibility by its reference in the ANSI-approved ICC 700 National
Green Building Standard, the benchmark in green residential construction.

Hardwoods LLC – a sawmill and kiln drying
operation. Currently, our facility produces
approximately 1,750,000 board feet (random
width and Redi-Rips™) of kiln dried, northern
hardwood lumber per month – the equivalent
of nearly 130 truckloads.
Our trademarked Redi-Rip™ program allows
us to “rip” (cut/saw) random width lumber
to the exact widths used in our partners’
